Cards for Jack
Jack Weaver, 8, has a genetic condition called Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome.
Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome is a condition that affects many parts of the body. The major features of this disorder include a characteristic facial appearance, delayed growth and development, intellectual disability, and seizures. It's very rare estimated to be 1 in 50,000 births. It is a condition that affects Jack's growth, thus causing other health problems.
A friend came up with the idea to send Jack Christmas cards and that idea has taken off. He`s been getting cards from all over the country.
"It really just kind of grew organically and overnight in a huge, huge way," his mother Shannon Weaver told FOX 59. "We`ve been just so grateful for all the cards and all the responses we`ve gotten and jack has been just thrilled by it, too."
